May I express our deepest gratitude for your very kind donation in response to the Dean’s Christmas fundraising appeal.
Christmas is of course an extremely exciting and important time as we prepare to welcome thousands of people into this magnificent building. We know from long experience that many people ‘find’ the Cathedral for the first time during the Christmas holidays - attending a service or concert, coming to see the wonderful display of Christmas trees in the cloisters, or simply visiting with friends and family.
Our ability to throw these wonderful old doors open wide, every single day, is made possible by the friendship and generosity of people like you – and we are extremely grateful to you.
It would be wonderful to welcome you into the Cathedral yourself, so I hope that you will be able to visit over the festive season – perhaps for one of our uplifting services of Christmas celebration.
