St Richard's Hospice Lights of Love Services
Hundreds of twinkling lights will be lit in memory and celebration of loved ones this year, in the annual St Richard’s Hospice Lights of Love campaign.
You are invited to dedicate a Light of Love and donate to the care of St Richard’s to celebrate or remember someone special.
Lights will shine out from the hospice Christmas tree at St Andrew’s Spire, Worcester, during the festive season and dedicated names will be published on banners around the city landmark.
Two Lights of Love services will be held in the Cathedral at 2.30pm and 7pm. The evening service is then followed by a light switch on at St Andrew’s Spire around 8pm. Tea and coffee will be served between 8.15pm and 9pm at the Heart of Worcestershire College following the switch on.
The services and lighting of the Lights of Love tree are open to all and are free to attend, you do not need to confirm your attendance at either of the services or the switch on event.
If you are unable to attend the lighting of the Lights of Love tree in person, you can watch this live on the St Richard's Hospice Facebook page here at 8pm.
Make your Lights of Love Dedication
To ensure your loved ones names are displayed on the banners for the lighting of the Lights of Love tree on 15 November, please make your dedication by 8 November 2024. After this date, all new names will be printed onto new banners at the end of November and again just before Christmas.
To ensure your names are displayed on the banners at St Andrew's Spire in time for Christmas and in the Worcester News, please make your dedication by 10 December 2024.
Each Light of Love will support the care provided to patients and loved ones across Worcestershire.
