Turn up for a Library Tour
Turn up for a Tour of the Library – Discover medieval manuscripts, doodles and dragons, rare books and lots of surprises in our historically significant and beautiful medieval library.
We are now offering the opportunity to turn up at the Cathedral for a tour of the Library. Running June - September on Wednesdays from 12pm – 1pm (excluding Wednesday 14 August).
There's no need to book, just turn up and pay at the welcome desk. Tours are priced at £10 per person for one hour.
Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis, and we are unable to admit latecomers, so be sure to arrive in good time. The tour is not suitable for those under 12 years old.
Please note access to the Library is only available via a medieval spiral staircase of 46 steps, which is not suitable for people with heart conditions or mobility limitations.
